South Bank Studio Intro
A studio room means that you can all live by yourself. You will have an independent room, bathroom and kitchen, as well as the one and only swipe card to access your room.
Bed Area
Scape offers a standard Double Bed for all studio residents, and it is super comfy for students living alone! There is also a storage space under the bed. You can put those you don't use that often under your bed (e.g. the package of some appliances), so they won't take up much storage space in your room. Although the bed is right beside the window, the coverage of the curtain is quite good. You won't be woken up by the sunlight in the morning. Additionally, my favourite part of the bedding area is the light switch beside the bed, so you do not have to get up from the bed and then turn off the light at the doorway. Perfect for lazy people like me!!
TV
Then, the TV area. Scape provides a TV right in front of your bed, so you can lie in bed and watch TV. I love this TV so much because this is a Smart TV, and you can connect your YouTube and Netflix account to the TV. However, this is a quite old version of smart TV, so it is not as convenient and sensitive as the new ones. There is also a book shelf-like storage space above the TV as well as a super huge storage space under the TV. I put my luggage in that space.
Desk
The desk is right beside the bed area. It is a long desk from the bed area all the way to the doorway. Scape provides residents with a desk lamp and a chair. There is also a big pinboard in front of the desk, so you can pin whatever you want on it. Personally, I think it is quite cute and useful.
Wardrobe
The wardrobe is between the bed and the kitchen. There are four layers in the wardrobe. It is adequate for me to put all my clothes in this wardrobe, and it is also the biggest wardrobe I've ever seen in student accommodations.
Kitchen
In a studio room, there is an individual kitchen area that we don't have to share with others. Although it is quite small, it is equipped with everything you might need. There are two induction stoves (you need to buy induction cookware that suits the stoves), a sink, a fridge, and a microwave. The cooker, water filter, kettle and dish rack are not provided by the property.
You have to be extra careful about the smoke and ensure the cooker hood is turned on when you cook in student accommodation. If the fire alarm goes off accidentally, you will have to pay the fee of calling the fire truck and firefighters. Additionally, for safety reasons, the stoves will turn off every 20 minutes. If you want to braise something on the stoves, you need to turn on the stoves every 20 minutes.
Toilet
The toilet area isn't very spacious, but the storage space is quite adequate. There is a big storage behind the mirror above the toilet; you can put the things you need in that space. The shower area is only half-covered with a glass door, so the water will be slightly split out when you are showering. I will use a shower squeegee to keep my bathroom dry and clean after showering.

Laundry Room
Every type of room in student accommodations will all have to share washing machines. Scape South Bank provides the residents with washing machines and dryers. Residents will have to pay AU$4 for the washing machine and dryer individually, so it is AU$8 for washing and drying your clothes each time. You have to top up your swipe card before washing and drying your clothes. It is quite convenient since you don't have to prepare a handful of loose change every time you wash your clothes.
Common Areas
The common areas are mostly on the LG floor, including a slide (you can save some time walking by using the slide LOL), a gaming area (you can also borrow some board games at the reception) and a bigger kitchen area for you to invite your friend to cook together at your place. Besides, there is a theatre on LG where you can connect to YouTube or play movies. It is a great place to spend time with your friends.
Outdoor
There is an outdoor common area on LG where you can host a BBQ and invite your friends to come. It is also a great study area when there is no one BBQing. I feel so good when studying under sunlight.
Study Area
There are two study areas at Scape South Bank, one on the LG floor and the other on the G floor. The study area in the picture is the one on LG, and it includes two individual meeting rooms and one semi-open meeting room. If you're tired of studying in your own room, those are great places for you to change the study space and change your mood.
