Document needed to present at TRS office
Receipt (should include: the description of goods, the name of the supplier, the address of the supplier, the ABN of the supplier, the date of purchase, and the amount of GST)

Present your TRS tax refund QR code (The QR code will be provided to you after completing the tax refund application either online or on the app)

Oversized Goods

The Tourist Refund Scheme (TRS) office at Brisbane International Airport is on Level 1. Tourists with goods that need to be put in check-in luggage should come to this office before check-in. You will get a stamp stamped on the other side of the receipt (as shown in the photo below).
Normal Goods
(Goods that can be carried on the plane)
Normal-sized goods will claim tax refund after going through the security check. The Tourist Refund Scheme (TRS) office is on the right-hand side after passing the security check. You need to prepare those documents to claim TRS tax refund. If any oversized goods need to be claimed, please refer to Oversized Goods and take the stamped receipt to the TRS counter.

⚠️You can't get a cash refund
When can I receive the refund?
You will receive the refund within 15 working days.
From personal experience, you will receive the refund within 5 working days if you use an Australian bank account.
